The whole group
proposed their individual ideas for their pages and then pitched them to group.

improve their page.
Thursday 10th October 2013
Time – 11:00 am
Location – St Margaret’s Campus, room 2.06
Meeting Length – 1 hour
In this meeting, 6
people (including me) created a poster to put up around college so that we
could advertise to get models for our magazine. We thought this was the best
way to get models, as it looks more unprofessional if you go up to models face
to face. Plus this gives the chance to people who are not as confident so would
rather just text us.
Monday 14th October 2013
Time 12:00 pm
Location – St Margaret’s Campus, room 2.06
Meeting Length – 1 hour 30 minutes
Our poster was a
success because we got a number of calls and texts back from hopeful models to
be involved in our magazine. We met them within the canteen as this was the
best place we thought as its a busy area and its a place everyone knows. We got
each model to complete a mini questionnaire such as they’re name, gender, age
and what sort of clothes they enjoy wearing.

your production folder.
Thursday 7th November 2013
Time – 11:00 am
Location – St Margaret’s Campus, room 2.06
Meeting Length – 1 hour
We discussed more
into what people are exactly doing and if they can go into different teams to
help out pages and also it helps everyone out as the more pages you do and the
more involvement you have, the better grade you are going to get. We also just
had a general check up on what everyone was doing and how we are all getting
on.
Thursday 14th November 2013
Time – 11:00 am
Location – St Margaret’s Campus, room 2.06
Meeting Length – 30 minutes
In this session we
re-ordered the magazine pages because we wasn’t all happy with how they laid
out. We decided to have a sequence of introduction, lifestyle, music,
festivals, food and drink, film and T.V. It works better this way rather than
having them in any order.
Thursday 21st November 2013
Time – 11:00 am
Location – St Margaret’s Campus, room 0.02

Everyone continued
to do their pages. Others in the class would walk around giving constructive
criticism to help get the best potential for the pages. We also had a fashion pages meeting (me, Annie [the editor], Alex [my partner], and Emma... As a group we have tried to help Emma contribute towards this magazine however she is currently what I would call an 'outsider'... She does not want to voluntarily communicate with us and we are trying our best to change this. I am happy for her to help me and Alex with the fashion pages if she is willing to do the work.
Thursday 5th December 2013
Time – 11:00 am
Location – St Margaret’s Campus, room 2.06
Meeting Length – 30 minutes

so that we could discuss how everyone is getting on with their pages. Hopefully

haven’t.
Thursday 12th December 2013
Time – 11:00 am
Location – St Margaret’s Campus, room 0.02
Meeting Length – 1 hour
We carried on
producing to develop our pages. As well as having a 2 hour lesson on Monday to
do our pages, we thought it was good to do just an hour every Thursday to top
them off as these will increase our chances of getting a better quality page
and finishing them on time.
Thursday 19th December 2013
Time – 11:00 am
Location – St Margaret’s Campus, room 0.02
Meeting Length – 30 minutes
We completed the
visualisation of the pages, so for people who didn’t even start the pages, they
could have at least had a mock layout of what it’s going to look like.
Monday
6th January – Today consisted of work on the Food
Page, me and my partner Alice both worked on illustrating for the page.
Tuesday
7th January- We have been reminded of
copyright issues and the Fair Use Policy. Fortunately the pages that I am
involved with are all illustrated by me and my peers so copyright will not be
an issue for my pages.
Monday
11th January- Today we have been looking
at locations and finding out who owns them for the fashion pages.
Tuesday
12th January-
Thursday
14th January
Monday
20th January- Took photographs of
possible locations for fashion pages. This included Abbey Park locations, De
Monfort University, and Guild Hall. We decided that the Guild Hall would be a
good location because it is beautiful, and it suits the style that I will be
using well.
Tuesday
21st January- Contributed to photoshoot
in which my sister was invited to attend with regards to front cover of
magazine.
Thursday
23rd January- Today consisted of nothing
with regards to the magazine. There was no meeting because the leaders did not
attend.
Monday
27th January- Used test shots of
locations for possible designs for fashion pages.
Tuesday
28th January- Me and Alice considered
which models to use for our section of the fashion pages- this had to be done because
we now have to use models from multicultural backgrounds because Alex hasn’t in
his section of the pages.
Thursday
30th January- There was no meeting
today, therefore we- as a group, did not do anything regarding the magazine on
this date. Although I did look at test shots from the potential locations that
we used for the fashion pages… I was considering what styles would best suit
these locations.
Monday
3rd February- Today me and my partner
Alice focused on the food pages… There is talk that some of some of our pages
could get cut down which is an inconvenience but this is why we have committed
our time to this in preparation for the worst case scenario.
Tuesday
4th February- Today consisted of the
group teaming together to help each other understand how the magazine was going
to be laid out (with regard to pages)… I feel that the group is starting to
turn against each other and I feel that there are certain people doing more
than others- in some cases people are not given the chance to create enough and
in other cases people are trying to get away with doing nothing. If this
continues then I will confront it because I am getting frustrated by it now.
Thursday
6th February- There wasn’t much done
today- however we considered final choices for models and we got an idea for
using somebody that me and Alice both used to know (who is multicultural so
they fit the background well). We are yet to contact her & we still need a
male model.
Monday
10th February- It has been confirmed
that Agony Aunt pages have been cut down- we are not at all happy because they
have been replaced by MORE fashion pages that are not needed in my opinion (not
just my opinion in fact). I feel that certain members of the group think that
by eliminating peoples pages & replacing them with more pages for
themselves they will get a better grade… Which they won’t because we are being
marked on teamwork. I will be confronting this matter because I feel that so
many people are against each other now and it is becoming pathetic to put it
quite bluntly.
Tuesday
11th February- Some of the problems in
the group have been confronted as a group however some problems were purposely
avoided which I am not happy with- there will be a meeting on Thursday which
has been arranged by the editor (suggested by me).
Me & Alice tried to change the Agony
Aunt page around, however we feel that this is going to ruin the page, when we
first created it we wanted it styled in a certain way- using pop art as a major
influence. Having the pages cut down has made it very hard to pull this style
off.
Thursday
13th February- There was no meeting
because around half of the group turned up. Two out of three of the co-editors
didn’t turn up either- considering this was supposed to be a vital meeting not
many people treated it seriously. It will be confronted after half-term.
